This version of kadai chicken is so easy to cook and at the same time so tasty and crunchy. It goes very well with pulao as well as with jeera rice. It is also healthy as it is full of protein and vitamins. So try this delicious dish and share your comments!

Furthermore, I would like to share some of my suggestions for making tasty kadai chicken. Firstly, kadai means wok which is used in the Indian cuisine for most cooking. Kadai chicken is also flavored with Indian spices, yogurt and capsicums. Basically, it is a stir-fried recipe. But if you want to make a gravy, then add some milk cream at the end. Finally, You can also wrap it in a roti for lunch box.

  1. 2 chicken breast pieces (300 grams)
  2. 1 cup mixed capsicums, diced
  3. 1 medium-sized onion, cubed and layers separated
  4. 2 tbsp olive oil          For Marination
  5. 2&1/2 tbsp yogurt
  6. 1 tsp ginger and garlic paste
  7. 1 tsp red chili powder
  8. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  9. 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  10. 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  11. 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  12. 1&1/2 tsp crushed dried fenugreek leaves
  13. 3/4 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  14. 1/2 tsp salt or as needed
  15. 1 tbsp olive oil          Instructions
  16. Clean and cut the chicken breasts into medium size, then pat dry with kitchen tissues.
  17. In a separate wide bowl, mix together all the ingredients given under marination until incorporated.
  18. Add in chicken pieces, mixed capsicums and diced onions, mix well until well combined and keep it aside for about one hour.
  19. After one hour, separate the capsicums in one bowl and diced onions in another bowl.
  20. Now heat a nonstick pan with olive oil, when the oil heats, add the marinated chicken pieces with marinade and stir fry for 3 to 5 mins or until both sides turn into light golden brown.
  21. Also add the marinated onions and fry for another 3 mins or until they become transparent.
  22. Then add marinated capsicums and fry for 2 more mins or until half cooked. Don't over cook, because capsicums and onions should be crunchy.
