Are you a beginner looking to make the perfect soft chapati? Look no further! In this blog post, we'll be sharing some helpful tips to get you started, along with step-by-step photos and a video to guide you through the process.
One important tip to keep in mind is to add flour slowly to the water, rather than adding water to the flour. This will help your chapati dough stay soft for a longer period of time, resulting in delicious and fluffy chapatis every time.
Here's a breakdown of our step-by-step process for making soft chapatis: start by adding 2 cups of flour slowly to the water and kneading it into a soft dough. If the dough is too sticky, add the remaining flour little by little. Knead the dough for 5 minutes, then apply 1 tablespoon of oil and knead again until the dough becomes even softer.
Next, let the dough rest for at least 30 minutes (and up to 1 hour) to allow it to rise and become even softer. When you're ready to cook your chapatis, roll the dough out into thin circles, being careful not to make them too thin or too thick.
Finally, heat your tawa (griddle) well before placing the chapati on it. Flip the chapati only twice, making sure not to flip it too many times.
By following these simple tips and tricks, you'll be able to make soft and delicious chapatis that are sure to impress your family and friends. So what are you waiting for? Give it a try and let us know how it turns out in the comments below!
