To ensure the perfect grilled salmon, there are a few tips to keep in mind. Firstly, be sure to properly clean and prepare the salmon fillets. Remove any pin bones with a pair of small needle nose pliers, and cut the fish into four equal-sized pieces.
Once you're ready to start grilling, place the marinated fish fillets on a grill pan, skin side up, and grill for 3 to 5 minutes or until grill marks appear. Then, turn the fillets over and brush with the reserved chili sauce. Continue grilling for an additional 3 minutes, turning and brushing the fillets with sauce every 3 minutes until they are glazed and cooked through.

- 1 lb center cut skin-on salmon fillet
- 2 tbsp hot chili sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil For Marination
- 1 tsp crushed peppercorns
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice Instructions
- Clean and then cut the salmon fillet into 4 equal sized pieces.
- Meanwhile, preheat your oven to grill mode. Then brush the grill pan or grate with oil.
- Then marinate the fish pieces with pepper, salt and lemon juice until well coated and set it aside for 30 mins.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the hot chili sauce, brown sugar, paprika, cayenne pepper and olive oil until incorporated, keep it aside.
- Place the marinated fish pieces on the grill pan, skin side up, and grill it for about 3 to 5 mins or until the grill marks appear.
- Then turn and brush the fillets with some of the reserved chili sauce, continue to cook the fish for another 3 mins.
