Wheat Butter Cookies

Ingredients
- 1&1/2 cups (195g ) whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup (113g) cold unsalted butter
- 5 tbsp (1/4 cup) cold milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180 degrees C and place the rack in the middle of the oven and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a wide bowl, add wheat flour and powdered sugar, mix well until combined.
- Add salt and baking powder, mix well.
- Add cold unsalted butter. Rub the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs by using your hand.
- Add 5 tbsp milk and start to combine well.
- Don’t knead, just combine to form a dough.
- Divide the dough into two equal parts.
- Then flatten and roll out slightly thick with the help of a rolling pin as shown in the picture.
- With the help of a cookie cutter, cut into any desired shape.
- Gather the remaining dough and make sure to prepare biscuits from it.
- Place them on the prepared baking tray.
- By using a toothpick make some holes.
- Bake the biscuits in preheated oven for about 15 to 18 minutes or till the edges turn slightly golden.
- Allow the biscuit to cool completely. Biscuits will be soft when hot and turn crunchy when cooled.
- Finally, the whole wheat biscuit is ready to serve with tea or coffee. Store it in an airtight container for at least 2 weeks.
