Tips for Crispy French Fries Recipe

I would like to give some suggestions for a crispy french fries.

  • First of all, when choosing potatoes, make sure there are no green patches because it will affect the fries as well as your stomach. Peel and cut each potato lengthwise into 4 to 5 pieces, then cut each piece into sticks. The thinner these are , the crispier they will be.
  • Second, soak the potato strips in cold water for 15 to 30 mins. This step also helps to get rid of excess starch, resulting in crisper fries. When you are ready to make the fries, drain the water and pat them dry with kitchen towels.
  • Importance of Garnishing: After frying the French fries, sprinkle finely chopped coriander leaves over them for a pop of color and added flavor. This simple garnish can elevate the presentation of the dish.
  • Oil Temperature: Maintain the oil temperature at medium heat for the initial frying to ensure that the fries are soft and cooked through. Then, increase the heat to high for the final round of frying to achieve that desired crispy texture.
  • Draining Excess Oil: After frying, remove the fries from the oil using a slotted spoon or frying basket and allow them to drain on a paper towel. This helps remove any excess oil and prevents them from becoming soggy.
  • Serve Immediately: For the best taste and texture, serve the crispy French fries immediately after frying. This will ensure that they are at their crispiest and most delicious state.
