How To Make French Fries Oven Baked?
If you're looking for a healthier alternative to the traditional deep-fried French fries, then oven-baked French fries are the way to go. Not only are they delicious, but they also save you from the guilt of indulging in greasy, unhealthy food. Here's how you can make your own crispy oven-baked French fries at home.
- Start by preheating your oven to 180 degrees C. Then line a baking tray with foil and grease it with some oil or cooking spray. This step ensures that the fries don't stick to the pan and come out crispy.
- Next, cut each potato lengthwise into strips about 1/2 inch wide. Soaking the strips in ice water for 15 minutes helps remove excess starch, resulting in crispier fries. Pat them dry with a kitchen towel before proceeding.
- Pour 1 tbsp of olive oil over the potato strips and mix well until they are evenly coated. This step is crucial for getting that perfect crispy texture.
- In a large resealable plastic bag, combine Italian style bread crumbs with Romano cheese, dry grated parmesan cheese, chilly paprika powder, black pepper powder, and salt. Add the oil-coated potato strips, seal the bag, and shake it well until the potatoes are evenly coated with the seasoning.
- Transfer the well-coated strips to the prepared baking sheet and arrange them in a single layer. This ensures that they cook evenly and become crispy on all sides.
- Bake the fries in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Then remove them from the oven and spray some oil or butter over them for that extra crunch and flavor.
- Put them back in the oven and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes or until they are lightly browned and crispy. Keep an eye on them to prevent overcooking.
- Serve your delicious oven-baked French fries with a side of spicy mayo-ketchup for a flavorful experience.
By following these simple steps, you can enjoy the delightful taste of French fries without the guilt of unhealthy deep frying. These oven-baked French fries are perfect for a snack or as a side dish to your favorite meal. Give them a try and treat yourself to a healthier version of this classic comfort food.
