Sweet Shakarpara Recipe / Kalakala / Diamond Biscuit
Serves 6

Cook Time: 15 mins
Ingredients
- 1 cup wheat flour
- 1/4 cup rava / semolina / sooji
- 4 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp ghee
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
- to taste salt
- as needed water
- to deep fry oil
Instructions
- In a wide bowl, add wheat flour, rava, brown sugar, ghee, cardamom powder and salt, mix well until combined.
- Then add water little by little and mix well, knead until you get a smooth and soft dough, cover and keep it aside for 10 mins.
- Make 3 or 4 balls out of the dough.
- Dust the dough ball in flour and roll each ball into a flat circle. Roll it a little thicker than chapati. If you like thin shakarpara then you can roll thinly.
- Cut in diamond or square shape as you like.
- Meanwhile, heat a pan with oil over low to medium heat.
- When the oil heats, add the diamond cuts in batches and fry until the sweet sharkarpara turns golden and crisp.
- Finally, drain over kitchen towel and store them in an airtight container once cooled completely.

mix well until combined.

Then add water little by little and mix well,

knead until you get a smooth and soft dough,
