This healthy and refreshing strawberry romaine salad is a perfect co-star for any main dish, especially during summer.

Strawberry Romaine Salad

  1. 1 head romaine lettuce
  2. 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
  3. 1/4 cup almonds
  4. 1 cucumber
  5. 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds          For dressing
  6. 2 tbsp honey
  7. 1 tbsp vinegar
  8. 2 tbsp olive oil
  9. pinch of salt
  10. pinch of pepper powder
  11. 1/2 tsp red chili flakes          Instructions
  12. Place the almonds in the baking sheet and place it in the oven (180 degrees C) and toast them for about 8mins or until lightly browned and a nice aroma comes.
  13. Then remove from the oven and keep it aside for further use.
  14. Meanwhile, in a small bowl whisk together the honey, vinegar, olive oil, red chili flakes, salt and pepper until combined.
  15. Tear the romaine lettuce into bite size pieces.
  16. Then wash and slice cucumber.
  17. Slice the strawberries into small pieces.
  18. In a serving bowl, place the lettuce, sliced strawberries, cucumber, pomegranate seeds and toasted almonds.
  19. Then pour the dressing over the salad evenly.
  20. Finally, toss gently until the salad is evenly coated with dressing just before serving.

  • 1 tbsp Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
