Strawberry Romaine Salad

- 1 head romaine lettuce
- 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/4 cup almonds
- 1 cucumber
- 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds For dressing
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- pinch of salt
- pinch of pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili flakes Instructions
- Place the almonds in the baking sheet and place it in the oven (180 degrees C) and toast them for about 8mins or until lightly browned and a nice aroma comes.
- Then remove from the oven and keep it aside for further use.
- Meanwhile, in a small bowl whisk together the honey, vinegar, olive oil, red chili flakes, salt and pepper until combined.
- Tear the romaine lettuce into bite size pieces.
- Then wash and slice cucumber.
- Slice the strawberries into small pieces.
- In a serving bowl, place the lettuce, sliced strawberries, cucumber, pomegranate seeds and toasted almonds.
- Then pour the dressing over the salad evenly.
- Finally, toss gently until the salad is evenly coated with dressing just before serving.
