How To Make Golden Fried Prawns?

To make golden fried prawns, start by preparing the batter. Beat an egg in a small bowl and add salt, sugar, chili sauce, and water. Whisk it well until fully incorporated. Then, add one tablespoon of oil, corn flour, all-purpose flour, and baking powder. Mix until a thick batter forms and set it aside for 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, prepare the prawns by de-veining them and giving some slits on the inner side to prevent them from curling.

Next, heat a pan with enough oil for deep frying over medium heat. Dip the prawns in the batter and place them one by one in the hot oil, frying them in batches until both sides are browned.

How to Store Golden Fried Prawns

Storing the Prawns: After frying the prawns, allow them to cool down completely. Store them in an airtight container and place them in the refrigerator. Make sure to consume them within 2-3 days for the best taste and freshness.

Avoid Freezing: It is not recommended to freeze the golden fried prawns as it may alter their texture and taste. For the best experience, consume them fresh or within the recommended storage period.

Check for Spoilage: Before consuming any leftover golden fried prawns, always check for any signs of spoilage such as an off smell, unusual texture, or discoloration. If you notice any of these, it's best to discard them.

Proper Ingredient Storage: Ensure that all the key ingredients used for the preparation of the golden fried prawns, such as the prawns, egg, and flour, are stored properly in a cool, dry place before using them for the recipe. This will help maintain their quality and freshness.
