If you're a seafood lover, you won't be able to resist these crispy and delicious golden fried prawns - the perfect appetizer for any occasion! I first tried this dish at a night out and I loved it so much that I knew I had to recreate it and share the recipe with everyone. So why not give it a go and let me know what you think!
To make sure your golden fried prawns turn out perfectly, I have a few tips to share. Firstly, I recommend using fresh jumbo prawns for this recipe - make sure to clean, peel and devein them before making gashes on the inner side to prevent them from curling. Secondly, when frying the prawns, heat your oil over medium-high heat before carefully dropping in the batter-coated prawns in batches. Fry for 2 minutes before reducing the heat to low and flipping the prawns until they turn golden brown. Finally, I suggest serving the golden fried prawns with a sweet and sour chili sauce, though I personally love them just as they are.
