Ingredients
For First Marination
- 3 whole chicken leg with thigh pieces (Without Skin)
- 1 tsp red chili powder.
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp olive oil.
- 1/2 tsp salt.
For Second Marination
- 3 tbsp fresh yogurt. ( I used low fat yogurt)
- 1&1/2 tsp ginger and garlic paste.
- 1 tsp red chili powder.
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder.
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder.
- 2 tbsp olive oil.
- 1/2 tsp garam masala powder.
- 1 tbsp fresh lime juice.
- 1 tsp crushed kasoori methi / dried fenugreek leaves.
- 1/4 tsp salt
Oil For Brushing
- 1 tsp oil
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
Instructions
- Wash chicken pieces and pat dry and then make three slits on the pieces randomly.
- This step increases the surface area of the chicken, so the marinade can penetrate the meat.
- Add all the ingredients given under 'First Marination'except the chicken in one wide bowl, mix well until combined.
- Then place the chicken pieces, mix well and set aside for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, mix all the ingredients given under the 'second marination' in a wide bowl until incorporated and keep it aside.
- After 30 mins of the first marination, take the chicken pieces and place them in the second marination bowl, toss well and set aside for more than 3 hours or overnight.
- Preheat the oven to grill mode for at least 15 mins. then place the aluminum foil on the baking tray. Take the chicken pieces, let the extra marinade drip off the chicken into the bowl.
- Then place them on the baking tray with enough space in between them.
- By using the cooking brush grease the chili oil on the chicken pieces.
- Grill the chicken for 20 mins.
- Then flip the chicken pieces, repeat brushing the chili oil and again grill for 10 mins. until the chicken is cooked.
- Again flip the chicken pieces and grill for 3 minutes.
- Now the Amazing Tandoori Grilled Chicken is ready to eat!
