  • Marination Time: The secret to a flavorful tandoori chicken lies in the marination. Plan ahead and marinate the chicken for at least 3 hours, or better yet, overnight for the best flavor.
  • Cooking Technique: When grilling the tandoori chicken, make sure to preheat the oven to grill mode for at least 15 minutes. This will ensure that the chicken cooks evenly and gets a nice char on the outside.
  • Garnishing for Presentation: After grilling, garnish the tandoori chicken with freshly chopped cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice for a vibrant pop of color and added freshness.
  • Even Spacing on the Baking Tray: When placing the chicken on the baking tray, make sure to leave enough space in between the pieces. This ensures that the chicken cooks evenly and gets a nice char on all sides.
  • Brushing Technique: When brushing the chili oil on the chicken pieces, use a cooking brush to evenly distribute the oil. This will help create a crispy and flavorful outer layer on the chicken.
  • Checking for Doneness: To check if the tandoori chicken is cooked through, use a meat thermometer to ensure it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. If you don't have a meat thermometer, make a small cut in the thickest part of the chicken to check for any pinkness.
